Abstract (EN)

The Crusades are among the most important religious wars of world history. These campaigns, which began in the late 12th century, cover a period of approximately two hundred years. Although the Crusades took place between Christians and Muslims, also Jews, who called as The Jesus' murderers by Christians, have been affected by these campaigns. Especially the first crusade had a great impact on the Jews. In this context, in our research perspectives of the Crusaders on Jews during the first crusade, attacks on Jews living in the Rhine of Germany during the campaign and the approaches of the Crusaders to the Jews living in the Middle East was discussed. The main sources of the study are sources of Islamic, Crusader, Byzantine, Armenian, Syriac and Jewish of the twelfth century. In addition to, the studies carried out in the West about the subject also have been used significantly. According to the information obtained from the sources, the first crusade is seen as a great destruction for the Jews living in the Germany region of Europe and the Jews living in Jerusalem. The Crusades, which enabled anti-Jewish tendencies to be revealed more easily in Christian society, also revealed the weakness of Jews among Christians. In the following process, the Jews became more vulnerable to the attacks of Christians. Although there are many studies dealing with the Crusaders and Jews in the foreign literature, Turkish studies conducted relevant to the subject aren't enough. In this context, our research is importance in terms of eliminated this deficiency.
