Abstract (EN)

Wildlife refers to the total of wild animals and plants living in natural habitats. These areas are generally untouched by human intervention and consist of natural ecosystems. Wildlife is an essential component of global biodiversity and ecosystems. The main characteristic of wildlife is the ability of organisms to freely roam and feed in their natural habitats. These habitats can include forests, grasslands, deserts, and mountainous regions, each enriched with their own unique species of plants and animals. The Wild Goat (Capra aegagrus), which is the subject of this study, is an important wildlife species in our country. Within the scope of the study, potential distribution modeling of this species was conducted. The MaxEnt method, which works only with presence data, was preferred as the modeling method. At the end of the modeling process, the obtained model for the target species had an AUC value of 0.937. Based on the AUC value, the model is considered successful. Following the acquisition of the model, potential distribution areas within the study area for the target species were mapped and presented.
