Abstract (EN)
The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) is the most widely used psychological test in the world to assess personality traits. MMPI is also a standard test used in clinical evaluations and research, psychological reporting and personnel selection and placement in Turkey. It is generally used to diagnose psychological disorders, assess personality traits, understand behavioral problems and assist in treatment planning. The assessment process begins with the test results forming a profile. The profile is presented in the form of a graph or table showing the different characteristics and possible psychological states of the person. Consisting of 566 test questions, the individual processing of the answers is time-consuming and requires reading and processing by trained and authorized people who are experts in the field. To protect privacy and to ensure that the assessment is healthy, the assessment can only be done by trained people; however, this practice limits the audience to which the test can be applied, so an artificial intelligence program is needed for the user to evaluate the test. In this study, random forest method, one of the machine learning methods, was used to classify psychopathological outcomes. A data set consisting of 1530 data was obtained by generating 10 artificial data for 153 classes containing all possible results of the test. Training was performed with 70% of the data set and an accuracy rate of 0.99 was obtained with 30% of the test. As a result of the study, it is predicted that individuals will be able to recognize their psychological problems and determine their need for expert help; with the test reaching a wider audience, more effective communication can be achieved between individuals who know themselves.
