Presenting the projects and actors of creative industries with geographical information systems web applications: The case of İstanbul creativity network

Creative industries are recognized as an important part of sustainable economy in cities. City administrations and development agencies organize events, announce support programs and prepare projects with actors from various sectors for the creative industries that constitute the aesthetic and prestigious area of the economy. When we look at the developed countries in the world and the European Union, it is seen that they attach great importance to the creative industries and the creative economy in these countries makes a great contribution to the general economy of the country. For this reason, an exemplary study has been desired to increase and develop the production of creative industries in our country. With the study, it is aimed to increase the interaction speed of the actors in the creative class and thus to increase the production in the creative industries by presenting the relationship networks of creative industry projects and actors to the public with Web-based Geographical Information Systems applications. In this way, the growth of the creative economy and the development of sustainable development are expected.
