Abstract (EN)

The objective of this study is to determine the view of the students of Regional Primary Boarding Schools (YİBO) on their schools.The universe of the study, which is a descriptive survey in scanning model, consists of the students who educate in Regional Primary Boarding Schools of Kahramanmaraş in 2011-2012. The sampling of the study consists of randomly-chosen 600 students who are second-tier students in boarding schools in Pazarcık, Çağlayancerit, Elbistan, Göksun and Andırın districts of Kahramanmaraş.The survey, which was prepared by the researcher, has been used in the study. Validity and reliability of the survey have been measured and it has been used after it became reliable. For the data analysis, SPSS pocket program has been used.According to the findings of the study, compared to male students, girls have more positive views about the teachers, education facilities, refectory, dormitory and social sporting conditions of the boarding schools. The students? view about the boarding schools has a significant difference regarding the boarding schools in which they educate. Boarding school students? views about the school vary regarding their grade levels; it has been determined that there is a significant disagreement among the students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades on the administration of boarding schools, teachers, education facilities, conditions of refectory and dormitory, social and sporting facilities, and physical conditions and their thoughts about the boarding schools become more negative as their grades increase.
