Abstract (EN)

The increasing energy demand around the world and the limited energy resources currently used have pushed many countries to find energy alternatives in the future. In this direction, many countries have turned to renewable energy, known as green energy, in order to meet the increasing needs and reduce costs. This situation has increased the interest in renewable energy investments and the mechanisms that provide financing for these investments. Such that, for the financing of renewable energy investments, international and national regulations are made in terms of financial instruments and institutions. In this study, information is given about the regulations regarding renewable energy and the role of institutional intermediaries in investments. Also, in Turkey Sustainability reports and Integrated annual reports were examined to determine the level of effectiveness of the banks that play an intermediary role in financing renewable energy investments. Accordingly, in the Turkish financial system, banks are transferring more resources to finance renewable energy investments, the importance of which is increasing day by day.
