Abstract (EN)

This study examined the impact of circadian rhythms and chronotypes on the dietary and physical activity habits of 133 adult participants, categorized as morning (20%), intermediate (51.3%), and evening (28.7%) chronotypes. Gender analysis showed a prevalence of morning women and intermediate-type men. Surprisingly, the study found no significant links between participants' general characteristics and their chronotypes. Regarding meal patterns, while no significant correlations were observed between meal frequency, skipping meals, reasons for skipping, and chronotype, certain trends emerged. Morning individuals tended to skip lunch, while evening individuals were more likely to skip breakfast, often due to habit-related reasons. Dietary content analysis revealed high-fat, low-carbohydrate diets irrespective of chronotype, with no significant relationship between daily energy and nutrient intake and chronotype.
