Abstract (EN)
Individuals who have graduated from formal education or who have not received formal education should provide educational activities and maintain lifelong life in order to keep up with the dynamics of social life and working conditions. Therefore, the need for adult education was born. Master trainers working in adult education institutions provide education to a heterogeneous group of people of all ages, educational levels and different cultures. As a result of the difficulties experienced in raising these mixed groups for a purpose, there was a need to find solutions to the perceptions of professional burnout and organizational cynicism that may occur in master trainers. In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between professional burnout levels and organizational cynicism levels of master trainers working in various training centers of adult education institutions in Istanbul. First of all, the literature on adult education, professional burnout and organizational cynicism was included in the study. Then, hypotheses were formed according to the literature review. The Study Personal Information Form, Organizational Cynicism Scale and Maslach Burnout Inventory were used to test the research model and test the hypotheses. The data obtained in the study were subjected to statistical analysis using SPSS program. The population of the study consists of master instructors working in various course centers of adult education institutions in the 2018-2019 academic year in Istanbul. The sample of the study consists of randomly selected 248 master instructors. It has been found that there is a moderate, positive and statistically significant relationship between organizational cynicism attitudes of adult educators and all dimensions of burnout.
