Abstract (EN)

Mediterranean and Aegean Coasts are vitrine of our country in the world tourism market. 65 % of touristic investments have been made in these destinations according to mass coastal tourism and the touristic season had become parallel to summer season. Diversification of touristic product and extending touristic season to twelve months will clear these inconveniences. Food Tourism policies which will be developed to meet the changing touristic demand have a very important part within tourism diversification.Bozcaada has a great potential in terms of food tourism. Besides the geographical characteristics as an Aegean island, Bozcaada has an authentic culinary culture and also a variety of locally produced wines. To promote and market all these products beside rich island culture with traditional Turkish hospitality will ensure Bozcaada?s place as a charming destination among others.Food tourism as a tourism product is the subject matter of this study. Food tourism strategies of Canada, Republic of South Africa and Australia were examined. Another subject is to identify the sources of food tourism in Bozcaada. 83 recipes were collected and classified for this study and some underlying suggestions have made to utilize these sources.
