The organization of Gediz Municipality interms of the effectiveness and productiveness of management

ABSTRACT In our country, the local managements realize a considerable part of public service. But, insufficiencies are seen in arranging in order of activity and productivity concepts on either source using or quality level of these services. In order to stop these insufficiencies, associations from the top management to lower ones need to be reorganised Every decision and service taken by the Gediz Municipality, which meets the common expectations and necessities of Gediz people, affect the people of district as social or economical ways. It is clear that productivity and activity concepts have got an important role on developing the service quality and producing the projects that will be presented to the usage of the people of district in municipality works. It can't be thought that the people are pleased from the municipality services of the places where aren't these concepts. The idea that the responsibility belongs to the top management of Gediz Municipality brings the necessity of Gediz Municipality's modernization. With these thoughts, Gediz Municipality gives public services to 22 000 district people and around 50 000 people who get benefit from Ilıca and Murat Mountain Hot Springs. This research has been done on subjects of management idea, services and what degree activity and productivity concepts are arranged in order in management units on 342 samples. The results are tried to put forward in the direction of general principles by collecting information. The research area is Gediz Town and is directed to activity and productivity of Gediz Municipality Management. One of the main reasons of researching Gediz Municipality in a scientific way is to illuminate the district people who are mainly affected by the taken decisions related to themselves and to light the way for the people who want to apply for the top management. The research consists of three parts. In the first part, the histories, structures, duties and income sources of municipalities are taken up. Second part includes activity and productivity concepts of municipality services. And in the third part, survey results are turned to account with turning them into statistical tables by forming crosswise relations under the heading " Gediz Municipality Practise. " Obtained data is presented under the heading of Conclusion and Interpretation.
