A verification and evaliation of Yusuf Efendizade's "Inayat al Malik al Muneim li Sharh Saḥīḥ Muslim" (Books of ṭahāra, haydh and salat)

'Inayat al malik al muneim li-sharh Sahih Muslim is a valuable work that was written by Yusuf Efendizade Abdullah Hilmi that one of the 19th century Ottoman scholars, at the last periods of his life but he could not live to complete it after he had written the commentary on Bukhari called Najahu'l-Kari li-Sahihi'l-Bukhari. The author has written this work by making use of the main sources in the field of hadith, especially Imam al-Māzari's al-Muʿlim bi Fawāidi Muslim, Qāḍī Iyāz's Ikmāl alMuʿlim bi fawāʾid (fī sharḥ Sahīh) Muslim, Imam Nawawawī's al-Minhāj fī sharḥ Sahīh Muslim b. al-Hajj and al-Qurtubī's al-Mufhim li mā Ashkala min Talhīsi Kitābi Muslim. In this respect, the work was deemed worthy of being verificated in terms of its contribution to the transmission of our scholarly heritage and the benefits it would bring to the world of science. This study verificates the Kitāb al-Taḥārah, Kitāb al-Hayz and Kitāb al-Salāt sections of the work, provides information about Yusuf Efendizade's life and scholarly personality, and tries to reveal the method he followed in his commentary.
