Abstract (EN)

In this study, a research model in which pre-test and post-test applications were included and control and experimental groups were compared was preferred. In the field research conducted for this purpose, the sample of our study consisted of 30 swimming athletes between the ages of 11-14 who were practicing swimming sports in the province of Van and who trained in accordance with the training plan for 2 days every week, each training for 1 hour. In the study, swimming athletes were divided into 2 groups and 15 athletes in the first group were trained with life kinetic exercises in addition to the swimming-specific training program, and 15 athletes in the second group continued their routine swimming training for 8 weeks. In the study, the height and body weight of the athletes were determined with Seka brand digital height and weight measuring device. T-agility test was used to determine agility and Prokin Tecno Body device was used to determine balance levels. The findings were evaluated by statistical analysis methods such as Mann Whitney U test, ANCOVA and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. As a result, when both pre-test and post-test measurements were analyzed, no significant difference was found between the experimental and control groups on height and body weight (p>.05). There was no significant difference between the groups in T-agility test pre and post test measurements (p>.05). However, according to the Wilcoxon test results, a significant improvement was found in the experimental group in the pretest-posttest comparison (p=0.005). In balance, significant improvements were observed in Perimeter Length, Area Gap Percentage (Estimation) and Medium Speed variables in both experimental and control groups in pre-post test comparisons (p<.05). In the Medium Equilibrium Center-AP sub-dimension, no significant change was observed in both experimental and control groups (p>.05). In the Medium Equilibrium Center-ML dimension, a significant improvement was observed only in the experimental group (p=0.047), while no significant difference was found in the control group. ANCOVA results for the Medium Equilibrium Center ML variable show that there is no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the analysis made by controlling the pre-test scores (p>.05).
