Abstract (EN)
Businesses will need employees throughout their existence. Today's businesses employ people almost from all generations. Companies, have experienced changes in the past years with generation Y that took position in workplaces, nowadays begun to employ generation Z. As each generation is different from others, generation Z has begun to enter business life with its differences. Businesses will move forward with generation Z, and companies need more and more employees from generation Z every day. Therefore, it is necessary to better analyze generation Z that play a crucial role for the future of businesses. In this context, with this study, it is aimed to determine the work values of generation Z. Within this frame, in order to determine the work values of generation Z, questionnaire was applied to 274 generation Z employees, and interviews about work values of generation Z were conducted with 14 people who work for human resources departments of various institutions in Ankara. According to the research findings, it was found that compared to male generation Z employees, female employees of generation Z care more about altruistic values and values related with status and their colleagues. Furthermore, it was determined from the findings of the interviews that, generation Z employees are open to development, care about motivation, want to hold power in the work environment, have higher perception for status, have higher career goals, spend their spare time in work environment through activities of virtual environments and for their career development, and desire to establish a work-life balance.
