Evaluation of Zafar Ahmad al-Thanawi's book called Qawaid fî Ulûm al Hadith

This thesis titled "Evaluatıon Of Zafar Ahmad Al-Thanawi's Book Called Qawaid Fi Ulûm Al Hadith," gives weight to Kavâid fî ulûmi'l-hadîs, a book by Zafer Ahmed et-Tehânevî, who is one of the most important figures of the Hanafi Hadith School and who came to the fore in twentieth-century Indian Subcontinent. What makes et-Tehânevî's Kavâid fî ulûmi'l-hadîs noteworthy is that this book has been compiled from the Hanafi perspective, especially with the aim of defending the Hanafi sect, in contrast to the fact that the most famous works of classical hadith method sources were compiled by Shafiis. This thesis has been handled within the framework of Tehânevî's aforementioned work. The first part gives place to the birth and lineage of Tehânevî, his collective life and scientific activities, his teachers and students, and his works. The second part explores the technical information about the book and discusses the content of the book, its sources, and its approach to some issues on hadith method, in comparison with İbn Hajar's work Nüzhetü'n-nazar fî tavzîh-i nuhbeti'l-fiker fî mustalah-i ehli'l-eser.
