Abstract (EN)

SHARİA COURT RECORDS DATED 1844-1853 The Sharia judge's law book records have great importance in the Ottoman Empire history researches. The documents contained in these judge's law books are indispensable for clarifying the economic, legal and social structures of the place they belong to. According to 1844-1853 dated data, from the register of judge's law book of the city of Mostar was tried to be examined the socio-economic history of the period on the city. Furthermore, a brief history of the geography of Mostar and Hersek and the political developments in the first half of the 19th century were discussed. The academic studies in Turkey about Herzegovina and Mostar's pre-Ottoman history, unfortunately, has not received enough attention. For this reason, it was necessary to give brief information about this issue. One of the main objectives of our study was to transcribe of the Mostar sharia judge's law book register of 1844-1853. This is presented in the second part of the thesis. In addition, in this context, considering the data in the Sharia judge's law book, Mostar's physical, administrative, social and economic situation and structure are emphasized. Apart from the documents in the registry of judge's law book other sources related to the subject were also benefited significantly.
