Abstract (EN)
Cities have developed with rapid increase of population to meet land requirements which occur due to housing need. With the aim of meeting need for housing, active green space amount per capita is reduced and thus the amount of active green space per capita is planned to be increased. According to Turkey green space norms, regulations which are based on 1985 date, 3194 Construction Law, 7 m² green space standards per capita has been increased to 10 m² after the amendment on Official Gazette based on 02.09.1999 date 23804 number [1]. As a result of studies on active green areas by WHO, active green area amount per person is at least 9 m². In our country, many scientific researches have been conducted. For example; Isparta is 3.0 m² [2], Istanbul is 1.9 m² [1], Manisa is 9.28 m² [3], Antalya is 3.1 m² [4]. In reference to results of this study, active green area amount per capita has reached to 2.74 m² in 2018, while it was 1.26 m² in 2000. In this study conducted in Salihli, active green areas changes per capita for each district between 2000 and 2018 have been examined. As a result of this, green space norms of Turkey and other countries in world are investigated to compare Salihli district's urban green space amount. Based on the datas obtained, suggestions have been developed to increase green areas benefits for urban people. It is planned to contribute to active green area projects of Salihli district in future.
