Research of 2018 published health news by izmir local press(Newspaper examples of Yenigun, Ege Telgraf, Haber Ekspres and Yeni Asir)

Taking a place of health-related content in the media has a huge impact for to inform society and knowledge of the works related to health to be known by the public. The aim of the research, determine the perspectives of 4 newspapers in terms of health news that are published by local print media in 2018 and comparing the overlapping whether the news reporting values of the press with the publications that are made. For this purpose, the health news of 4 newspapers are examined which are Yenigün Newspaper which is bonded to Izmir Press Advertising Agency, Ege Telgraf Newspaper, Haber Ekspres Newspaper, and Yeni Asır Newspaper in 2018. Through the research, the importance of the health news in the local press and how they transformed are appointed. Findings show that newspapers which are examined have mostly clear and understandable expression, convincing featured and high level of informing in the health news. Topics of 3332 news are taking a place in 4 Newspapers which are bonded to Izmir Press Advertising Agency, are mostly included diseases and treatments, developments in the field of health, and public information on general health. Up to this determination, health journalism problems have been reached in the local press.
