Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted in order to examine the effects of kinetic brain exercises applied to children aged 4-5 years who received pre-school education on body composition and flexibility parameters. In this research, a semi-experimental research model was used within the experimental research model. Children between the ages of 4 and 5 who received preschool education in Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul province participated in the study voluntarily by obtaining permission decrees from their families. The children involved in the study were divided into two groups as experimental group (n=23) and control group (n=23), and a total of (n=46) children participated in the study. Body fat percentages, diameter-circumference measurements, flexibility measurements were taken in the preliminary tests of the children in the experimental and control groups included in the research. Kinetic brain exercise program was applied to the experimental group for 8 weeks, 3 days a week, while no exercise program was applied to the control group. at the end of 8 weeks, the final tests of both groups were taken and the data were recorded. The data obtained in the research are indicated as mean and standard deviation. The Kolmogorov and Simirnov tests were used for the normality test, and the T Test was used in independent groups to compare the two groups on the normal distribution of data. SPSS for windows 25.0 package program was used for statistical analysis of the data. In this study, considering the results of the experimental and control groups, it was concluded that while there was no significant difference in height, body weight, fat percentage, waist circumference, neck circumference, hip circumference measurements in the measured values of the children who participated in the study program compared to the children who did not participate, there were significant differences in flexibility values.
