Teachers' opinions on the methods and techniques used in teaching arabic for 4-6 years old preschool

The Arabic language has always had a special place in our history. Many methods and techniques have been employed since ancient times to the present day to learn this unique language that encompasses thousands of words which was introduced to us with the advent of Islam. If we look at the dusty pages of our history, we see the importance our ancestors attributed to the Arabic language, the Works they copyrighted, and the methods they used in a western style. Nowadays, the role of Arabic is even more remarkable. Numerous studies on pre-school Arabic education, including those in Imam Hatip high schools and universities, as well as ours, highlight the importance of this work. The aim of our study is to reveal new approaches used in Arabic language teaching and to conduct document analysis to determine the techniques and methods employed. Therefore, the opinions of teachers working in schools where Arabic is taught to pre-school students have been evaluated. The problem statement of the research is determined as " How is the Arabic education given to pre-school students between the ages of 4 and 6, what are the techniques and methods used specific for this age group and what are the teachers opinions on these methods and techniques? " In this study, it is aimed to reveal the methods and techniques used in teaching foreign languages during the pre-school period between the ages of 4 and 6 and to reveal the findings within this context. This study is a qualitative research and was designed in accordance with the phenomenological pattern. viii Our research was conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year with 12 teachers working in state or private schools on the European side of Istanbul that offer Arabic lessons as part of their foreign languge educaiton.
