Abstract (EN)
Due to the fact that the subject matter of our study, the No. 5 Amasya Court Records of 1643-1645 (Hijri 1053-1054), consists of court records from Amasya and its villages and districts, they provide information about the social, administrative, legal, economic, demographic and cultural structure of the city during the period. Through the court records, which constitute an important source for local history researches, and through this study, we can obtain information about the Ottoman provincial organization in the 17 th century in the context of Amasya district sample. The subject of the thesis which consists of three sections is the transcription and evaluation of the No. 5 Amasya Court Records. In this respect, the first section of the thesis gives general information about the court records, kadi and Ottoman law. In the second chapter, the previously studied court records of the city of Amasya are discussed. Subsequently, the legal classification and evaluation of the No. 5 Amasya Court Records is conducted. The documents included in the records are classified according to their subjects and types. The classified documents include subjects such as inheritance, estate, slave liberation, determination of guardian, divorce, marriage, foundation, tax, property sale. The document types are decree, memorandum, order, warrant, deed, verdict. In the last section, transcription of the records is included. The conclusion section where the general evaluation is made, ends with bibliography and the annexes. In the records; "..." ellipsis is used for the unreadable sections, (?) question mark is used for points that are unclear, blank (blank) is used for points left blank, (grayed out) is used for unreadable or illegible statements. In order to make the classification of the documents easier in the transcription section, they are numbered as 1/1, 1/2, 1/3. The first number refers to the page number and the second to the order of the document.
