An action research on developing the creative writing skills of 7th grade students: Creating anti-fayle

Writing is a skill of expressing emotions and thoughts through writing based on certain rules. In the writing process, the individual actively takes part. When writing, the person filters what they have learned through their own mind and organizes it into a plan. The ability to do this effectively depends on the development of the person's mind, the ability to use their native language effectively, and their creativity. Individuals who have developed these qualities will produce creative writing. Creative writing is the freedom to express ideas and emotions on any topic and create original writing. It is important for the individual to know themselves well and to perceive and interpret their surroundings in the best way in creative writing. The aim of creative writing is to influence the reader. In creative writing, ordinary things, monotony, and social taboos are broken and something different is achieved. The individual always questions, imagines, criticizes, and uses different perspectives. The aim of creative writing in education is also this. It is expected that the student will discover themselves, imagine and approach their own world and the outside world in an original way. In this context, the person who will guide the student is the teacher. The teacher should first help the student's cognitive development by teaching critical thinking and showing the limitless nature of imagination, which is one of the most important elements of creativity. Another element that helps the student reach these stages is creative writing activities. Creative writing activities are activities that make it easier for the student to write creatively by using their creativity and guide the student. These activities are usually of the type that arouses curiosity, imagines and confronts differences in the student. Creative writing activities require creative thinking from students. Brainstorming, writing with music, concept maps, writing with associations, etc. are activities that can be used in creative writing activities.
