In the progress of European Union logistics activities and an application at enterprises producing milk and dairy products ın Turkey

Today, in order to provide the maintenance of enterprises and to keep its business inglobal competition; in addition to producing low-cost, high-quality products enterprisesshould also increase costumer service level. So as to create such a process, new techniquesand approaches need to be used in enterprises. Besides, the concept of logistics emergedfrom the result of this need.With the growth at international market, developments in technology; logistics activities atenterprises? organization structure must be carefully applied and controlled. Because achanging?s affect occurred in any logistics activity will be seen at enterprises? all sections.For this reason, logistics activities must be examined in a systematic approach.At the fist section of this study, logistics activities are examined and taken up with anintegrated approach. At the second section, Turkey?s milk industry?s present situation isintroduced and at the third section, logistics activities at a dairy enterprise are evaluated inaccordance with this approach and suggestions are made.
