Abstract (EN)
Objectives: It is well known that Signal peptide-CUB-EGF domain-containing protein 1 (SCUBE-1) is a novel, secreted cell surface protein expressed during early embryogenesis. In this study we explore relationship between the SCUBE-1 plasma and pericardial fluid levels and left ventricular functions. Methods: Plasma , pericardial fluid and blood samples were obtained from 40 patients undergoing coroner arter bypass greft cardiac surgery. Signal peptide-CUB-EGF domain-containing protein 1 (SCUBE-1) levels considered in plasma and pericardial fluid. Patients echocardıography measurements considered before and after cardiac surgery . Both preoperation and postoperation groups are descripted normal EF group (FractShortening - FS > 0,33) and impared EF group (FractShortening - FS < 0,33). And all blood samples , plasma and pericardial fluid Scube 1 levels comparison in identifed groups. Findings: The scube 1 levels significantly correlated in both plasma and pericardial fluid (p< 0.05). However, there wase no relationship and correlation between the scube 1 plasma levels and left ventricular systolic function (preoperation normal EF group and impaired EF group p: 0.359) (postoperation normal EF group and impaired EF group p: 0.964). Similar there was no relationship and correlation between the scube 1 perikardial fluis levels and left ventricular systolic function (preoperation normal EF group and impaired EF group p: 0.313) (postoperation normal EF group and impaired EF group p: 0.969) However there was relationship between preoperation - postoperation groups and some plasma inflamatuar parameters (preoperation group neutrophils (p: 0.006) , basophils (p: 0,044) , white blood cell (p:0.004) , ck-mb (p:0.022) ,troponin- I (p: 0.037)) (postoperatif group neutrophils (p: 0.023) , white blood cell (p:0.066) , ck-mb (p:0.033)) Conclusion: These results suggest that Scube 1 levels in pericardial fluid or plasma not sensitive indicators of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction..and both groups we decided that inflamatuar blood parameaters and cardiac parameaters more sensitive indicators of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. Key words: FractShortening, heart failure, pericardial fluid, Scube 1, left ventricular function, plasma inflamatuar parameters
