Offices which are born from the necessity of working spaces have changed in the course of time with the effects of technology, economics and the human factor. In this period numerous solutions have been provided. The furniture industry has also changed and developed in parallel, as a factor of the searched solutions. The changing of the working conditions has led to the creation of open office working systems and to functional changes on the working units which are used in these places. As open offices are crowded working areas, the workers want to create private areas within these spaces, which they can feel they belong in. Within the scope of this study, open office space concepts were determined and defined in the second chapter, in line with space- product- user factors and effects. While the space is given an architectural creation and image, the spatial concepts of the elements which will create an organization that will stir the feeling of belonging, defining the personal limits in working areas of open office system were analyzed. How productivity can be gained while private spaces are created through the use of space elements of the spatial organizational concepts in the created open office working areas was studied. In line with the concepts which were established, the design strategies of the open office spaces and the space elements were investigated from the past to the present and the factors that create the form and character of the space in the design process, and the approaches of the designers committed to these factors were described in detail within the historical process, in line with certain parameters. The creation and historical development processes of open office spaces, and the historical transformation processes of office furniture resulting from the changes in the furniture sector together with the development of offices effecting the office spaces were also investigated and detailed. The space- product- user influences of the open office space elements were examined in line with concepts such as functionality, flexibility and ergonomics, and the models were studied with the designers' approaches. The designed space elements' form, functionality, material preferences and the architectural character created in the space were examined in accordance with the environment and design factors with respect to perceptions and functionalities. The evaluation criteria's suitability to designing conditions in architectural design and the planning and application stages were determined through parametric methods. In light of all of the conceptual discussions, examinations were carried out in the open office working space of a media company which was preferred for the comparative analysis due to its containing three different office types in the same space. These examinations qualify the decisiveness of the performative personal space organizations through spatial- equipment- and user- focused comparative approaches by making observations and carrying out questionnaire studies. Planning of the open office spaces with space elements as a will provide to create new approaches for improving the quality of productivity of the users and the space; how the organization of the spaces can be personalized in line with the expectations of the users and expectations in accord with work operation has been analyzed in this study. In conclusion, which parameters affect the space and the user in open office working spaces, and how they affect, is described in accordance with the studies, observations and the results of the questionnaires. The effects of open office working spaces personalized through design on the users and the space were seen. It provides information regarding the effects of the parameters that are determined in line with the spatial, user and equipment focused factors, on the spaces and users in the open office working spaces. Directions have been presented regarding how performative personal space organizations can be provided in open office working spaces.
