Abstract (EN)
This master thesis is examined that walking action of human. Some connections have been established between city life, modernization and walking. The desire of people to give meaning of the place that they live in has played role significantly for the formation of the city. Therefore, cities are planned in accordance with daily life practices. This has enabled cities to be planned in a way that is suitable for walking. Therefore, cities are planned in accordance with daily life practices. This has enabled cities to be planned in a way that is suitable for walking. In the discoveries made throughout history; walking, change of location are determinative. The fact that the activity of philosophy was carried out by walking in Ancient Greece reveals the importance of walking. With the establishment of modern cities, flanors, that is people who explore the city on foot, emerged. People who are overwhelmed by the city environment have started to trekking and rediscover nature. This short documentary film which is titled as "In Step" was made to present the effect of modern cities on the act of walking. For this reason, ancient roads, legends and the Carian Way walking route were included in the voyage of discovery.
