Research aimed at determining the Adnan Menderes University Faculty of tourism students' perspective on tourism

In the tourism sector a large majority of the products and services are presented directly to the customer by employees. This situation puts even more importance on the employment of people who have been educated in tourism and workers who have a positive perspective on the sector. The primary aim of this research constitutes the determination of the perspective on the tourism sector of students receiving tourism education at bachelor level. In accordance with the specified purpose of the study, questionnaires were given to 377 students studying in the Faculty of Tourism at Adnan Menderes University and the acquired data was assessed. The findings of the study reveal that in general the students receiving education in tourism at bachelor level have a positive outlook on the tourism sector. In addition, to measure the participants' perspective on the tourism sector a comprehensive analysis of all the acquired information was carried out and assessed. The study presents important findings on the subject of the determination of the perspective on the sector of students receiving tourism education. KEY WORDS: tourism education, tourism sector
