Analysis of sentence knowledge on Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar's "Outside the Stage"

Language, a carrier of a moral and material culture and the most crucial supporter of being a nation, is a system of magical orders providing a basis for communication. Undoubtedly, one of the most significant parts of grammar are sentence and sentential study. In this study, The novel named "Sahnenin Dışındakiler'' by Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar was analyzed in terms of sentence and sentential study in order to contribute to such aspects of language. In this sense, Novel evaluated under a number of such headings as sentence, types of sentences, sentence analyses and parts of sentences that included word groups. The thesis consisted of introduction and four chapters as sentence, types of sentences and conclusion and evaluations. In introduction, life of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, his literary identity and his works were stated. Sentence and types of sentences were stated in the first chapter and sentence analyses in the second chapter. The sentences in the novel were evaluated in different aspects and explained with more examples. Furthermore, the study process included opinions of linguists, terms and classifying differences, discussions on the subject for each heading. Opinions and evaluations on the subject were stated in the third chapter named as conclusion and evaluations. Also, graphs on quantitative data were included in the study. Sources used during the study were written down in the last chapter named "References" The main objective was to contribute to sentential studies and to make evaluations on the types of sentences that Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar used.
