Özet (EN)
In the periods we live in the information age, individuals choose to access information in the fastest way as a result of the growth of the communication technology network. This situation in social life is also reflected in the teaching in schools. Teachers should aim to gain knowledge according to the most appropriate teaching method by adapting to the changing world conditions, where the current teaching is insufficient or incomplete. One of these methods, peer teaching, attracts attention with the characteristics that peer teaching supports a constructivist approach through research, has positive effects on students' academic achievement, cognitive and affective skills during the learning process, and is easy to implement due to its low financial cost. Technological innovations 21. its rapid development in the century increases the active use of tools and equipment, which are indispensable in daily life, in the form of teaching materials in the teaching of achievements in schools and in the field of education. One of these developments is three-dimensional printing, which is a product of technology and imagination. In recent years, the development of 3D printing technology (3D printer, 3D pen, etc.) with the expansion of the field of use, there has been an increase in the number of studies aimed at examining whether these technological products have an effect on the variables that researchers are interested in when they are moved to the classroom environment and used in teaching activities. Especially in the field of fetal education, 3D printing technologies have started to be used more. This research aims to reveal the effect of peer teaching and the application of 3D printer pen technology on students' academic achievement in mathematics course and their attitudes towards geometry in secondary school mathematics course. The study group consists of 30 students studying at a public school in Sarıçam district of Adana province under the Ministry of National Education in the 2021-2022 academic year according to the criterion sampling type from the types of purposeful sampling, and 30 students in experimental groups where 3D printer pen technology is applied, and 30 students in the control group where the current curriculum is applied, a total of 90 seventh graders. Before the study, students' I. The semester mathematics report card grades and the pre-test scores they received from the mathematics achievement test were examined, and no significant difference was found in the achievement scores of the groups. The data collection tools used in the application consist of a mathematics achievement test, an attitude scale for geometry, and semi-structured interview forms prepared by taking expert opinions. Within the scope of the research, a mixed method was used to determine the effect of peer teaching and 3D printer pen technology on students' academic achievements and attitudes in mathematics teaching in order to apply students' opinions about the process. In the quantitative part, the data were obtained with a semi-experimental pattern in the form of pre-test-post-test applied to experimental groups and control groups, and in the qualitative part, semi-structured interviews applied to experimental groups. In the experimental design applied in the research, academic achievement and attitude are dependent variables. The independent variable is the peer teaching and 3D printer pen technology contents prepared for the mathematics lesson to serve the purpose of the research. In the analysis of quantitative data, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Kruskal-Wallis test and independent groups T test were used; qualitative data were used descriptive analysis. According to the quantitative results of the research, it has been found that peer teaching and the application of 3D printer pen technology have a positive effect on students' academic achievement in mathematics and their attitudes towards geometry. According to the qualitative results, the majority of the students in the experimental groups expressed opinions about the positive aspects of the process. In the interviews conducted with the participants, it was found that the applications used in mathematics lesson are effective in increasing interest, desire and curiosity towards the lesson by providing concrete experiences to the lesson, making it visually richer and making the lesson more fun. In addition, it was concluded that the participants were willing to use peer teaching and 3D printer pen technology content in other courses besides mathematics.
