The views on family status and school success situation according to member of broken and unbroken family students attend at Akyurt primary school

This research has been planned and continued to determine the views on family status and school success situation according to member of broken and unbroken family students attend at Ankara Akyurt Primary School. Individuals whom are the students of researcher?s school are chosen by simple random sample method in this research. The number and the percent of the data are shown on the charts.Totally 146 students have attended the research. Out of them, 73 students from broken families, 73 students from unbroken families.With the aim of collecting the data, a questionnaire consisting of 51 questions is used in terms of students? personel and family members information, school success situation, opportunities at home, relationship with their families and expectations about the future .After the research, it is seen that students from broken families discontiue their school 1-5 days per a term, students from unbroken families don?t make any lack of continuity. It is determined that SBS exam situation is nearly the same in both groups. It is seen that broken family students? parents are close relatives with each other too. It is understood that students from broken families are less tolerant than students from unbroken families. It is determined that broken families income situation is less than unbroken families and students from broken families feel the absence of money at all time. It is observed that most of the children from unbroken families want to be a famous person.Considering on the results of the research, it is suggested that people who plan to make a family shall think carefully about their partner, education programs shall be given to parents about divorce, death, leaving home problems and suitable precautions shall be taken when parents come across negative situations to prevent children negative effects of broken family.Key Words: Broken family, unbroken family, family, school success
