The effects of creative problem solving curriculum on the creativity levels of creativity in the second grade students who are from low socio-economic status

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the effects of creative problem solving curriculum on the creativty levels of creativity m the second grade students who are from low socio - economic status. This research has been designed as an experimental study. For this purpose, one experimental and one control group, each of which includes 25 students attending the second grade of a primary school have been formed. Creative problem solving curriculum has been prepared by the researcher. This curriculum has been used to develop creativity and problem solving skills of students as a treatment for the experimental group. The treatment consisted activities lasted 120 hours. Control group has been taught by their classroom teacher. For the measurement instrument Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking consisting of 7 parts has been used. Creativity has been investigated in three dimensions as Fluency, Flexiblity and Originality as stated by the Torrance. The research findings indicate that a creative problem solving curriculum has significant effect on fluency and originality, but not on flexibility. Kev Words ; Crerativity, Education, Problem solving
