Abstract (EN)
Objective: The aim of this researchis to determine the difference between on quality of life of individuals over the age of sixty and over who do physical and mental activity and not and the related parameters. Another aim of the study is; to reveal some qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the personnel that are considered to be employed by managers and personnel working in related institutions for exercise Method: In the first part of the study; A total of 324 (n = 208) women and (n = 116) male volunteers over the age of sixty participated. Study Questionnaire and scale were applied to individuals who participated in activities in institutions serving individuals over the age of sixty. "Personal Information and Physical Activity Level Questionnaire Form for the Elderly, Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) and Quality of Life Scale" were applied to the participants of the research. In the second part of the study; 23 managers and employees (n = 16) and men (n = 7) volunteers participated. "Elderly Houses Employees and Managers Information Questionnaire" was applied to the participants. Findings: İndividuals who do physical activity have been found to have a high quality of life (p<0,05).Mental exercise has not been shown to affect quality of life (p>0,05). A positive correlation was found between physical and mental exercise and the exercise year (p<0,05).There was a relationship between mental exercise and PASE total score (p<0,05). As a result of the findings obtained from the research; Employment of sports management (n=19) department is requested in these institutions, Recreation (n=12) department is the least wanted in these institutions It was seen that the participants wanted to work with the faculties of sports sciences the (n=19). Results: As a result of this study, there was a relationship between physical activity and mental activity. Physical activity has been shown to affect quality of life more than mental activity. Employment of specialist sports managers graduating from sports sciences faculties is most demanded in institutions serving individuals over the age of sixty.
