Özet (EN)
Current use of aluminum alloys is increasing every day. Most of the die-casting parts used in the automotive industry are aluminum alloy. This is because of the lightness of aluminum die-casting parts. Casting simulation programs are used without producing casting parts independently of the material. This is because casting processes are time-consuming and expensive production methods. Casting simulations are required to minimize time and costs.Runner designs directly affect casting quality. With the correct design of Runner systems, there will be no problems with the casting part. In this study, the runner's design was modeled in light of the calculations. The results of the casting simulation were confirmed by runner design calculations. Separate runner calculations were made, modeled and simulated for high pressure casting and sand casting. Additionally, high pressure casting and sand casting simulations of aluminum alloy valve cover were compared and more appropriate casting method was selected. Casting part production was made according to the selected casting method.
