Abstract (EN)
This doctoral study was carried out to determine the fauna of fruit flies of Amasya, Çorum, Samsun and Sinop provinces. Between 2015 and 2018, field studies were conducted in the research area and adult fruit fly specimens were collected. All specimens were examined and diagnosed at Gaziantep University, Department of Biology, Entomology Laboratory. As a result, 71 species belonging to 24 genera were identified from 5 subfamilies of fruit flies. Of these taxa, the genera Acidia RobineauDesvoidy, Anomoia Walker and Philophylla Rondani as well as the species Acidia cognata (Wiedemann), Anomoia purmunda (Harris), Carpomya wiedemanni (Meigen) and Philophylla caesio (Harris) are recorded for the first time for the fruit fly fauna of Türkiye. Morphological descriptions of all identified taxa were made and a regional identification key was prepared. In addition, photographs of the body, wings and aculeus belonging to all species were presented. This thesis were presented to the scientific world as a comprehensive resource for the Türkiye fruit fly fauna.
