Abstract (EN)
This study has the objective of investigating the relationship between value perceptions of mothers and value perceptions of their kids. Descriptive survey model has been used in the study. The working group of the study consists of 204 mother and their children aged four to six years who continue to the Independent State Preschools in the Central District of Isparta in the spring term of 2016-2017 academic year."Pre-School Social Values Acquisition Scale" developed by Atabey (2014) and "Child Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher were used for the data collected from children; "Value Scale" developed by Dilmaç, Arıcak and Cesur (2014) and "Mother Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher were used for the data collected from the mothers. The analysis of the data has been done on SPSS 22 software. In the analysis of the data; frequency, ratio, standard deviation, arithmetic mean, Mann Whitney U-test, Kruskal Wallis H-test, and Spearman's Rank Order Correlation test have been used. For the validity and reliability of the scales, Cronbach alfa and KR-20 reliability coefficient have been used. It has been found that mothers care "physical well-being" and "right to life" the most while they care "property-possessions" and "love" the least. According to the findings obtained from the research, the results of the study showed that the value perceptions of the mothers were significantly different according to the educational status and the total income status variables. It was determined that children's value perceptions significantly differed from the mothers and the biggest variance has been found among children owning 31-35 aged mothers. The study has found that there is a positive relationship (p<.05) between value perceptions of mothers and value perceptions of their kids. Several recommendations have been offered based on these outcomes of the study. Key Words: Early Childhood Education, Pre-School Education, Mother, Values
