Invitation of the general assembly to a meeting in a join stock company

Nowadays, Joint Stock Company is the partnership having the most extensive application area and that has an important place in the business sector and because of that is the partnership which needs the most legal regulations. The General Assembly is a necessary organization where the shareholders learn information of the process of the joint stock company and where important matters about the joint stock company is discussed, negotiated and finalized. This situation increases the significance of the General Assembly that has a vital importance in Joint Stock Company. Because of these reasons, it is aimed that the meetings are conducted and the shareholders are invited so that all of the shareholders are aware of these meetings and in this way, the participation of the shareholders into these General Assembly meetings, which is one of their most important rights, is efficiently provided. For this purpose, the invitation of the General Assembly to the meeting has been extensively included in the Turkish Commercial Code (TCC) Numbered 6102. In our work, after the definition of the bodies of the joint stock company has been made, the definition, features, powers and types of the General Assembly has been examined. Afterwards, the people and bodies that have the right to convene the General Assembly in terms of legal regulations have been examined and finally the convening procedure of the General Assembly, the agenda settings and other invitation preparations have been mentioned.
