Carpets exhibited in the ethnography department of Antalya Museum

Abstract (EN)

In this study, 21 carpets belonging to different regions were examined under the title of carpets exhibited in the Ethnography section of Antalya Museum. These carpets have never been studied before. It is very important that it will be discussed for the first time. In the first part, information about the history of Antalya museum is given. In the second section, the historical development of Turkish carpet art, in the third catalog section, pictures of the works, information about the features are available. In the fourth evaluation section, information about material, technique, color, composition and pattern characteristics of the works examined, carpet types according to their usage places and date of carpets are included. In the concluding section, a brief evaluation of the study and the differences between some of the published works are given. At the end of the study, there is information about the publications. In the annexes, the documents obtained from the Antalya Museum are included. Key words: Antalya Museum, Carpet, Weaving, Double Node, Motif, Composition.
