Life, art and literary character of Bard Battal Dalkılıç

]Purposes of our thesis are assessing life, art and creations of Bard Battal Dalkılıç within the framework of geography in which he is living, sufism school he is belonging and bard tradition and designation of metaphores which he used in his poems. As methodology, written sources and poems of Bard Battal Dalkılıç are referred and interviewed with his own.In the introduction part of our study, after giving information about geographical, historical, economical and demographic condition of Çubuk district, we designated how is the bardic tradition in Çubuk within the framework of sufism culture.In the first section, we designated that the bard?s origin comes from Sultan Cibali who was the sübaşı of the Sultan Fatih Mehmet regality. When we go a step further we designated that the bard?s origin also comes from the prophet. We gave information about his family, profession, training and soldiership. We comment about apprentice period, starting as a master bardic after his dream.In the second session, we analyzed creations of Bard Battal Dalkılıç with regard to form. We made some implications about forms and types of poems he used. We determined rhythm and accordance in his poems. We analyzed words and word groups used in poems. We designated literary arts the bard used and expression forms he choosed. We gave short biographic information about saints whose name mentioned in poems.In the third session, after giving basic information about metaphore term and its use in sufism, we classified sufistic metaphores which Bard Battal Dalkılıç used in his poems as related to genesis and cosmos, and related to human and values.In the forth session, we gave place to Bard Battal Dalkılıç?s poems choronogically.In the conclusion session, we gave information about steppe area and Islamic culture area in which Turks are includedand we expressed transition process from ?ozan? to ?âşık? in parallel with this intercultural changes. We explained Turk?s acceptance of Islam and sufism conception of Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli. In the light of the foregoing, we made some implications about art and literary character of Bard Battal Dalkılıç and aimed to give an idea how is the ?alevi? sufism poems in 21th century in Central Anatolia zone (in Çubuk borough).In the appendix session, we gave place to the political map of Çubuk borough and photographs of Bard Battal Dalkılıç and village named Susuz.KEYWORDS1.Bardic Tradition2.
