Abstract (EN)
Astronomy and space, which are of great importance by countries and companies, have become a common field that is wondered by the whole world. The biggest reason for this is the advantages it brings with its large area. The most basic purpose required to dominate this wide area and take advantage of the advantages is to develop and improve on this area. Therefore, with the reduction of this field to the level of primary education, it is of great importance to train scientists, astronauts and space engineers for the future. Astronomy and space education, which has become a necessity, is a field of education that has been given importance especially for our country in recent years. Astronomy and space subjects added to the content of primary school science textbooks are taught at the relevant education levels. In this context, teachers who have a good command of the subject content in the textbooks were preferred, and feedback was received on the content status of these subjects. In this study, phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred. A semi-structured interview form was used to obtain the data. The interview form was applied to the classroom teachers who work in the city center of Burdur and whose working year is at least 10 years. The data obtained as a result of the application were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. At the end of the research, it was determined that the content presentation was at the student level, attracted the attention of the students, and the content presentation coincided with the 2018 Science curriculum. In addition, technical words and information are sufficiently included in the content presentation; activities, questions and evaluations, but it is seen that the class teachers differ in terms of the adequacy of these supporting elements. Although it was concluded that the content presentation is related to daily life and the topics included in the content presentation are up-to-date, it has been determined that the topics are insufficient in terms of actuality. In addition, in this study, primary school science textbooks prepared with 2013 and 2018 Science curriculum were also compared; 2018 Science under each heading in terms of the suitability of the content presentation for the level of the student, its overlap with the curriculum, the level of interest of the students, the level of support with activities-questions-evaluations, the level of connection with daily life, the level of inclusion of current topics and technical words and information about the subject in the content presentation. It has been determined that the content presentation prepared with the science curriculum is better prepared. Finally, it was concluded that content presentation plays an active role in terms of the level of influencing students' choice of profession. As a result, it was stated by the classroom teachers that the missing points should be improved by updating the content presentation, the most up-to-date content presentation was prepared better than the previous content presentations, and the content presentation affected the students' choice of profession, but this level of influence could be increased.
