ATATÜRK PERIOD TURKEYMIDDLE EAST POLICY AND THE SADÂBAT PACTPresented by: Merve BAYRAKTARABSTRACTThe modernity of the state in Europe started with the lost of the importance of the feudal system and the church, which of two had ruled the medieval society, and after the long periods of wars concluding with the Westphalia Treaty Europe has faced with religious tolerance and the king states. Although this has shown the starting with the modern states, the core modern nation-states occurred after the French Revolution.The French Revolution not only caused the modern nation-states to occur in europe but also caused Ottoman Empire which spent its last periods (years) for modernization and was multi - national to be destroyed by making destructive effects.The state, which has the nation-state condition and has an attempt to introduce itself to the European states, has a close relationship with the Middle East neighbors in the Middle East. After the foundation of the Turkish Republic the relationships with the Middle East states and their presidents have increased. As a result of those relationships, considering the term?s conditions, an idea of pact had come out against likely dangers.
