Analysis and verification of Ayaslûgî's work named Şerhu Mecma῾i'l-Bahreyn

In Hanafi fiqh (jurisprudence) literature four basic text have an important status. One of these basic text is called Macma'u'l-bahrayn which belongs to Muzafferuddîn Ibnu's-Sââtî (d. 694/1295). In the thesis the commentary of this text which belongs to Mehmed b. Yûnus el-Ayaslûgî (d. 831-850/1427-1446), namely the work named Sharhu-Macma'u'l-Bahrayn's textual criticism (edition critics) was done. Any previous study which related to Ayaslûgî's work could not be found in internal or external world before. In our researches four original copies of the work could be reached. Since one of these four copies belongs to Ayaslûgî, the original copy was accepted. By making comparisons with three other two copies, it was ensured that the work was revealed in its most original form. In the dirâse stage, the systematic of the work, its content, the way the subjects are handled, Ayaslûgî's own views, the general rules included in the work, etc. topics are covered.
