Misuse of bank or credit card crimes

The rapid development of technology in recent years, the changes and developments that have taken place in the world, and the information technology that constitutes a new regulation issue has led many governments to make new legal arrangements, which have increased in number of new crime types and information technology crimes depending on this rapid development and change, in the course of a number of actions it is now necessary to be regarded as a criminal offense. The fact that the field of ınformation technology is rapidly influencing many areas of our life has led to the crimes in this area both being taken under a separate title within itself and being organized in other crimes. In our legal regulations, according to these developments, information crimes have been placed under the title of "crimes in the field of information technology" in the tenth part of the new turkish penal code. One of the important and positive regulations in our law in parallel with the developments and changes in the laws of the world governments is the recognition of the abuse of material and bank and credit cards as a criminal type. For a stronger struggle with these crimes, which are one of the most common types of crime we have encountered so often in the world and in our country in recent years, the new legislator, the new TCK, organized crimes committed by using bank or credit cards differently from the former TCK as seperate and independent. The abuse of bank and credit cards is organized in article 245 in the tenth section titled Crimes in Information on the third part of the second book of the Turkish Penal Code entitled Crimes against people. In our study, we examined "the crime of misuse of bank and credit cards" in Article 245 of the Turkish Penal Code and tried to give place to these subjects discussed on both theoratical and practice. Committing this crime is infringing interests of assets of the people on the other hand are infringing the interests of the public security of the society with the forgery of bank and the credits crimes. Although this crime is related to other types of crimes, it is also necessary that crime should be regulated seperately due to use of field of information technology and the crime has its own specific characteristics.
