Abstract (EN)

Banks are indispensable institutions of the economy. In recent years, economic crisis are experienced all around the world and the countries which have more powerful banking and financial systems, steer out of these crisis with minimum loss than other countries. However, mergers and acquisitions at banks make banks more powerful and inspire clients and investors confidence.In our thesis, we analyse optional mergers and acquisitions at banks. There is no intervention from state authority to the will of the parties but the mergers and acquisitions procedure is performed under the permission and approval of the state authority. Consequently, this procedure is under strict control. In this context, we tried to analyse basic concepts, principles, types, reasons, legal sources, procedures, consequences and invalidity of the mergers and acquisitions at banks with its all legal aspects. It should be noted that, we analyse both repealed law and law put into force together and the differences between them has also been mentioned as possible.Key words: Bank, Mergers and Acquisitions, Deposit, BDDK.
