Abstract (EN)

At the end of our literature search, we have seen that thiazole derivative compounds have shown some specifications such as the ability of treating prostate cancer, inhibitior of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, Glutation S- tranferase pi and aggregation of plateletes. The main reason why natural and synthetic compounds including thiazole rings are being token into consideration is their activity of inhibiting aromatase enzymes. In this study, derivates of 2-hydroxyacetophenone and Copper(II)Bromide was reacted in solution of ethyl acetate in order to obtain derivatives of 2-bromo-2'-hydroxyacetophenone. Afterwards, derivates of acetophenone was reacted with thiopicolineamide, thionicotineamide, thioisonicotineamide in order to obtain derivatives of 2-pyridyl-4-(substitutedphenol)thiazoles. Physical specifications of all compounds obtained from reactions were determined by using the results of Thin Layer Choromatography and Melting Point, and chemical structures of all derivatives were determined by using the results of 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR and MS spectroscopic data and elemental analysis. Selected compounds were clarified by using the techniques of molecular modeling and their anticancer activity was studied on. 4-((2-hidroksi-5-metil)fenil)-2-(piridin-4-il)tiyazol (Compound 3) is noticeable because of its activity. Keywords: Thiazoles, aromatase, molecular modelling, anticancer
