A study on the value orientations of students studying in different departments of school of physical education and sports

The aim of this study is to determine whether the students who study at the teaching department and the sports management department differ significantly in terms of their age, department, gender and parental education levels. Descriptive scanning model, one of the scientific research methods, was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 285 students who are actively studying at the physical education and sports college of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU) during the 2018-2019 academic year and voluntarily participate in the research. For the purpose of the research, the "Personal Values Inventory" was used for the purpose of the research with the "Personal Information Form" prepared for the purpose of determining the demographic information by the researcher. The reliability coefficient of the individual values inventory was calculated with cronboach alpha and was determined as. 863. Spss 25.0 package program was used in the statistical analysis of the data. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage, and descriptive analysis of variance were used in descriptive statistics to determine the differences between the groups. In the research results, it was determined that there were significant differences between the groups in terms of gender and department variables in the sub-dimensions of individual values. It was found that those who changed their age, mother's educational status and father's educational status did not cause a significant difference in their individual values.
