Abstract (EN)
This study has been conducted,in a public school students whose age are between 12 and 15 at the Esenler district of İstanbul province . To indicate the personal informations about students and their demographic characteristics, food consumption, preferences and their relationship between BKI obtained by a questionnaire , 1-day food consumption questionnaire has been done.Also body fat and liquid measures have been measured by Tanita BC 420 S Body Analysis equipmant. Frequency of the data has been acquired and Pearson correlation analysis has been applied for the data that required by utilizing SPSS 15.0 and BeBis programs.In the study, 97 boys and 168 girls a total of 265 students participated. 40% of the students are 14 years old,% 33.6 of the students are 13 years old. Their age average is 13.51. Surveyed the average weight of girls 47.32 ± 10.39 kg, while the boys 48.71 ± 11.45 kg and the average length of 155.85 ± 6.30 cm of the girls, while the boys? were found to be 158.15 ± 9.22 cm. %54.3 of Students? mean BMI are in normal circumstances. Girls? BMI are 19.50± 3.48 and boys? are 19.21 ± 3.41. It?s been understood that %51.3 of students have three branches in a day. While %38.1 of students have low body fat index, %73.2 of students have normal liquid rate. The fat index of %75.1 of students have normal energy rates according to the referances and %65.2 of whose energy rates obtained from carbonhydrate are lower. There is no significiant difference between energies taken and spending by sutdents(r= 0.10; p =0,07; p > 0,05).The nutritional status of children of school age should be assessed, adequate and balanced nutrition for children should be winning habit because of eating habits that earned in this period will reflect the adulthood.
