Abstract (EN)
Bekir Sıdkı Sezgin, who is symbolized by his unique understanding of art in the history of classical Turkish music in the twentieth century; It is also referred to as a "school" in the field of voice performance. In addition, it is known as one of the important building blocks of Turkish music with its understanding of education, publications, interpretation and compositions that it has brought to the literature. Sezgin, who has frequently received praise from the leading names of Turkish music culture in subjects such as performance style, equipment and education; Not only with its performance style, but also with the perspective it reflects on its compositions belonging to traditional classical forms, it also stands out in terms of the transmission of tradition. Sezgin, who is one of the most important representatives of Classical Turkish music, whose foundations are known to be laid with religious facts and faith-themed music, has 126 compositions in different forms, including religious, non-religious, instrumental works and children's songs. In this study, a total of 43 works in different religious forms belonging to Sezgin were analyzed in detail in terms of maqam-modulation and rhythm-prosody. In line with the analysis of the work in question, Sezgin's use of Turkish religious music forms and the musical nuclei that he provided for the transfer of tradition were identified.
