Abstract (EN)

In this study efficacies of three plant extracts and two bacterial products against powdery mildew on pepper were observed. In this study, Tea Tree Oil, (Timorex Gold), Orange Oil (Prev-Am), Reynoutria spp. extract (Regalia), Bacillus subtilis QST 713 (Serenade SC), Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei (Vitanal) and Fluopyram+Tebuconazole (Luna Experience) (as a reference product) were applied on pepper plants to be determine the efficacy against powdery mildew on pepper. Disease in plants evaluated according to 0-5 scale when the disease reached to 20 % on untreated plots. Trials were established according to randomized plots pattern with four replications. The disease severity was evaluated using Towsend-Heuberger's formula and the percentage effect of the applications was calculated using the Abbott formula. Data from each trial were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANNOVA) to detect differences between treatments. Mean comparisons were made using Tukey's tests; all statistical tests were conducted at a probability level of (P ≤ 0.05). All analyses were performed using the SPSS 22 software. In the experiment, it was determined that the highest % efficacy values of the biological preparations against powdery mildew were for Timorex Gold (80%), Prev-Am (45%), Regalia (44.7%), Serenade (26.3%) and Vitanal (26.2%), respectively. Efficacy of reference product, Luna Experience against powdery mildew on pepper was determined as 89%. Biological control is considered as an alternative course of chemical control, by the reason of positive features on human and environmental health and food safety. According to our study, it's concluded that Tımorex Gold had performed enough efficacy on Leveillula taurica and can be safely used and offered against powdery mildew.
