Examining information technologies' effects on municipalaties administration and organizational structures and service delivery: Manisa Şehzadeler Municipality example

The technology can be found everywhere in today's human life. In this context people expects public enterprises to adapt this change. For being accountable, transparent to citizens and the central administration use of information technologies and their reliable and accurate data sets are needed. Municipalities use information technologies heavily in their everyday works. Because of this there have been some changes in municipalities' administration and organization structures. In today's world, productivity of employees can be measure qualitatively and needed assessments about it can be done. By courtesy of this measurements there have been some changes in employee productivity and performance. Nowadays municipalities gives services with the use of information technologies. Citizens expects fast and smooth services from municipalities. For this; the importance of information technologies can't be underestimated. In first part of thesis information about public enterprises, local administrations has been given. In second part discussions about informatics, information technologies and information technologies which Şehzadeler Municipality has, can be found. In the third part information about method, applications of work has been given. With the help of survey some assessments has been made about employee's point of view about information technologies and information Technologies effects on service quality, administration and organizational structure. The fourth part is about discussing main hypothesis and other hypothesizes. With the help of statistical findings from the surveys, supports the main hypothesis which is "information technologies effects municipalities' productivity and service quality".
