Abstract (EN)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients' serum levels of glucose, insulin, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, creatinine, urea, uric acid, and xanthine oxidase (XO) were examined to see if there was a connection between the disease and kidney difficulties. A total of 65 participants with type 2 diabetes and a control group of 65 healthy individuals were enrolled in the study. T2DM patients had a significantly greater BMI than the controls, according to the findings. Patients with T2DM had significantly higher blood glucose, HbA1c, fasting insulin, and HOMA-IR readings than did healthy individuals in the comparison group. T2DM patients had greater levels of creatinine, uric acid, urea, and XO than did the controls. This implies that T2DM illness has a substantial role in the deterioration of renal function and, if uncontrolled, could lead to the emergence of progressive renal impairment
