Culture, civilization, and gnosis in Nuri Pakdil as a Muslim intellectual

Throughout history, people have believed in a sacred and transcendent being. This is because humans, by their nature, have a tendency to believe, and their beliefs have been influenced by the time, environment, and geography in which they live. Anthropology, as a discipline that expresses human activities both physically and morally, provides data regarding human history. Data related to anthropology can be found in the East as well as in the West. Pakdil has centered the concept of human/humanity in terms of the anthropology discipline and argued that any attempt to harm humans/humanity, even indirectly, is an assault on God. Pakdil's statement, "Human! I defend you; against you!" is actually a discourse against the alienated human/humanity. Pakdil's defense is a stand against capitalism, alienation, Westernization, and secularism/worldliness. Although defining and understanding the human is difficult, a person who knows themselves also knows their Lord. Humans are considered God's art (Locke), relative (Shariati), caliph (Islam), superior human (Nietzsche), perfect human (Iqbal), crowned with dignity and honor (Bible), and God's sacred labor (Pakdil). In this study, the building blocks of the anthropology and phenomenology of Nuri Pakdil, who introduces himself as a man of action/revolution and is known as the poet of Jerusalem, have been examined in a comparative interdisciplinary manner within the context of the anthropology discipline.
